The son of another NBA legend has decided to try his hand at college football. Karl Malone Jr. committed to LSU, according to the Shreveport Times on Saturday.
The son of the former Louisiana Tech and Utah Jazz basketball star of the same name, the younger Malone is a 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive guard that will arrive for the Class of 2013. He played at Cedar Creek High School in Ruston, LA.
The elder Malone was a hoops star at Summerfield High School, which is located north of Ruston. Malone Jr. joins Corey Robinson – the son of former Navy and San Antonio Spurs star David Robinson – who committed to Notre Dame as a wide receiver for the Class of '13.
As if college football didn't have enough pageantry, now it will be introduced to the next "Mailman" and "Admiral."
