Raiders fullback Marcel Reece is not participating in the start of the team's offseason program, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.
Reece, a key cog in the team and a Pro Bowl alternate, is sitting on an exclusive-rights tender worth $545,000. Many would say he has out-performed that level of compensation.
He has yet to sign and report for offseason work. Oakland's run game is in flux, with Michael Bush lost to free agency and Darren McFadden coming off an injury-marred 2011.
Reece led all fullbacks in receiving yards last season with 301. He also had two touchdowns on 27 receptions, and, in a very limited role, rushed 17 times for 112 yards.
Raiders safety Tyvon Branch also has yet to sign his franchise tender.
