UW-Madison FB to Hold Second Annual Ag Day on Campus

The University of Wisconsin-Madison's Collegiate Farm Bureau organization is making plans for its second annual 'Ag Day on Campus' rally. The event is being held April 25 at the school's Library Mall.
Organizers say their goal is to reconnect the campus community with Wisconsin farmers and the state's agricultural industry.
"Our club is made up of students from all areas of agriculture that are eager to share their stories with people that are passing through Library Mall on campus," said Jake Lange, who serves as this year's UW-Madison Collegiate Farm Bureau president.
This year's theme is 'Real Farmers. Real Food.' Lange says the event will kick-off at 10:00 a.m. with students handing out string cheese and distributing information about modern agriculture, while also taking questions the general public might have about how food is produced.
The public can also enter to win one of two $50 Fresh Madison Market grocery cards by taking a picture with a tractor parked on Library Mall.
Supporters of the event include the UW-Madison Daughters of Demeter, Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese, Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, Dane County Dairy Promotion Committee, UW-Madison Association of Women in Agriculture, Dane County Farm Bureau, Rosy-Lane Holsteins LLC, Badgerland Financial, Wisconsin Agricultural & Life Sciences Alumni Association, Animart, Alpha Gamma Rho-Iota Chapter, Badger Dairy Club, Wisconsin Pork Producers Association and Daybreak Foods.
