Thousands of people are backing Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino as his job hangs in the balance.
A Facebook group called "Team Save Coach Petrino" is planning to hold a rally Monday night at 8 p.m. ET as a sign of support for the coach that was placed on administrative leave last week.
More than 9,500 people have joined since it was revealed Petrino had misled athletics director Jeff Long about the details of the motorcycle accident sent him to the hospital with broken ribs and a cracked vertebrae.

Petrino failed to disclose he had been riding with a female employee half his age when his motorcycle skidded off the road.
He also admitted to an inappropriate relationship with the woman, Jessica Dorrell, who was hired by Petrino as the student-athlete development coordinator last month.
In addition to holding the rally, the Facebook group is asking members to e-mail Long "to express your support for Coach Petrino to remain the head coach of our football team."
Long is currently reviewing the situation and weighing whether the scandal is serious enough to force him to remove a coach that has led the Razorbacks to a 21-5 record and their first BCS bowl game in the past two seasons.
