Harnessing the power of their large fanbase and Facebook friends, the San Francisco Giants posted a flier about a missing Morgan Hill girl on their FB page, hoping to get to the word out to as many people as possible.
Sierra LaMar, 15, has been missing since March 16, when she was last seen at 6 a.m. when she left to catch a school bus near her house, but never showed up for school that day. Her sad tale has made headlines ever since as hundreds of people have scoured land and water to find her, and Santa Clara County sheriff's detectives have poured over more than 1,000 tips about her disappearance.
As of Friday morning, the post had 2,875 "likes."
The Giants post simply asks the team's fans to help find Sierra and to share the post with their friends. They ask anyone who knows anything about the case to call the sheriff at 408-808-4500.
