Bell, Metoyer pace #Sooners in final spring FB scrimmage - Fort Worth Star Telegram (blog) Apr 15th 2012, 02:29 Backup quarterback Blake Bell threw for 179 yards and a touchdown in the Sooners' final spring scrimmage today in Norman, Okla., with freshman receiver Trey Metoyer grabbing six passes for a team-high 72 yards. Bell connected on 14-of-19 attempts on a day when starting quarterback Landry Jones _ by design _ took minimal snaps and left the brunt of the work to the backups. OU quarterbacks combined to throw two touchdown passes: one to receiver Jaz Reynolds, the other to running back Danzel Williams, a redshirt freshman from Arlington Martin.
