Citing "intense media attention," Goldman Sachs has decided to exclude US clients from the private offering of as much as $1.5 billion in shares of Facebook, The Wall Street Journal reported on January 17, 2011. "The level of media attention might not be consistent with the proper completion of a US private placement under US law," the New York securities firm said in a statement to the newspaper. A Washington woman discovered on Facebook that her estranged husband had married a second woman without divorcing her first.

Facebook's "Find a Friend" feature has caught a two-timing creep, authorities say.

A Washington state corrections officer is facing bigamy charges after his first wife discovered on Facebook he had married another woman without bothering to divorcer her.

Ellenora Fulk, of Tacoma, Wash., realized her estranged husband, Alan, changed his name and shacked up with Teri Wyatt-O'Neill after Facebook suggested she and Teri become "friends."

A photo on O'Neill's page showed the former Alan Fulk — now Alan O'Neill — sipping champagne next to a wedding cake with his new bride.

Fulk immediately called her estranged hubby's mother, and an hour later, Alan O'Neill showed up at her apartment, The Associated Press reported.

Fulk asked O'Neill, who left her in 2009, if they were divorced.

"No, we are still married," he told her, court records show.

O'Neill begged Fulk to keep quiet about his new bride and promised to fix the situation, but Fulk went to the cops anyway.

O'Neill, 41, was charged with bigamy on Thursday and could face up to a year in jail if convicted.

Prosecutors say he changed his name to O'Neill from Fulk in December and married his second wife later that month.

He was freed from police custody — standard procedure for non-violent crimes — and placed on leave from his job as a corrections officer in Pierce County, AP reported.
