AUSTIN - In their bid for the first state basketball championship in school history, the Fort Bend Travis Tigers fell to the Lewisville Marcus Marauders 56-52 in the Class 5A title game at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin.
Andrew Harrison led the Tigers with 23 points and 4 assists in the losing effort.
Marcus' Phil Forte, who was named tournament MVP, tallied 24 points.
Travis (36-4) got out to a 27-20 lead in the third quarter, but Marcus (39-2) ourscored the Tigers by 8 in the final period to take home it's second straight state championship.
